Ans: Abacus was the first calculating device in the world.
d) What are the four basic parts of computer?
Ans: Keyboard, mouse, monitor and system unit are the four basic parts of computer.
e) What is the basic working principle of a computer?
Ans: Input >> Process >> Output is the basic working principle of a computer.
f) Write down any four characteristics of a computer.
Ans: Four characteristics of a computer are : High speed, Accuracy, Diligent, Versatile
g) Write down any four places where computers are used.
Ans: Computer are used in different places such as home, school, office, hospital, bank etc.

h. Why are computer called accurate machine?

Ans: If the data and instruction given to the computer are correct, it will always give correct result so computer are called accurate machine.

i. Why are computer called versatile machine?

Ans: A computer can perform different of tasks one by one simultaneously. So, it is called versatile machine.
