Answer the following questions:
a. What is storage? Name any four popular storage media that you know.
Ans: A computing hardware that is used for storing and extracting data, files, and programs is called storage. example: Harddisk, RAM, ROM, Pendrive, etc. 
b. What are the types of storage media? Name them.
Ans: The different types of storage devices are: Primary storage devices and Secondary storage devices. 
c. Define Primary memory with example?
Ans: Primary memory is the internal storage device of a computer. It is used to store data and applications currently in use or being processed.
d. Why is RAM considered as a volatile memory? 
Ans: The RAM is called volatile memory because if the computer is turned off, all data contained in the RAM get lost. 
e. What is ROM? Why is it called non-volatile memory?
Ans: ROM is a popular primary storage device which we may only read data from it. It is difficult to write or modify data in ROM. It is mostly used for firmware updates. 
The data stored in ROM does not erase if the computer is turned off so it is called non-volatile memory.
f. Write any three differences between Hard Disk and Floppy Disk.

Ans: A memory card is a type of storage media that is often used to store photos, videos, or other data in electronic devices like cameras, mobile phones, etc.
